RV Gear We Love – Cosori TurboBlaze 6-Quart Air Fryer
The Little Appliance That Gives Our RV Oven Some Serious Competition
By: Caly J. Behymer
I know, I know. An air fryer isn’t exactly groundbreaking RV gear. At this point, I’m pretty sure there’s one sitting on the counter in half the RVs in America. But this is actually the third air fryer I’ve owned in an RV, so when I say ours gets used, I mean it gets used.
The others did their jobs, but they just didn’t hold up particularly well over time. The biggest problem always seemed to be the nonstick coating. Eventually, food would start sticking, the coating would begin showing wear and I’d find myself shopping for another air fryer.
In August 2025, I decided to try the Cosori TurboBlaze 6-Quart Air Fryer, and after more than a year of regular use, I’m genuinely impressed with how well this one has held up. The ceramic-coated basket is still nonstick. Considering my track record with the previous two, that’s saying something.
But We Already Have an Oven
We actually have a pretty decent-sized oven by RV standards. Our coach has a combination microwave/convection oven, and it works perfectly well. But if you’ve cooked with a convection microwave in an RV, you know it isn’t always the fastest option.
That’s one of the reasons I reach for the Cosori so often. It heats up quickly, cooks faster and, in my experience, cooks food more evenly. When I’m making something relatively small for Randy and me, it just doesn’t make sense to use the convection oven when I can put it in the air fryer and have dinner done faster.
There’s another benefit that’s especially nice when you’re living in an RV: it doesn’t heat up the entire coach. When it’s 90 degrees outside and the air conditioners are already doing everything they can to keep up, turning the kitchen into a sauna just to make dinner isn’t high on my list.
It’s More Than an Air Fryer
I still call it an air fryer 99% of the time, but the TurboBlaze actually has nine cooking functions, including Air Fry, Roast, Bake, Broil, Dehydrate, Frozen, Proof, Reheat and Keep Warm. It has a 6-quart basket and a temperature range from 90°F to 450°F.
What I care about more than the number of buttons, though, is how many different jobs it can handle without taking up a ridiculous amount of space. That’s important in an RV because every appliance has to earn the space it occupies.
I use mine for everything from reheating leftovers and crisping up frozen foods to cooking chicken, vegetables and potatoes. More often than not, if something can go into either our convection oven or the air fryer, I’m reaching for the air fryer.
Why This One Made Our Gear We Love List
After three air fryers, I’ve learned that there’s a big difference between an appliance that works great when it’s brand new and one that still works great after you’ve used it over and over again.
That’s what has impressed me most about this Cosori. More than a year later, it still cooks beautifully, the basket is still genuinely nonstick and cleanup is easy. The 6-quart size is also just about perfect for the two of us. It’s large enough to make a meal without being so enormous that I’m sacrificing half of my RV kitchen to store it.
There are plenty of RV kitchen gadgets that sound like a great idea until six months later you realize they’re buried in the back of a cabinet and you haven’t touched them since the week you bought them. Counter space and storage space are simply too valuable for that.
This one has earned its spot because I actually use it—and after going through two other air fryers that didn’t hold up nearly as well, the fact that this one still looks and performs the way it does after more than a year has impressed me even more.
Would I buy the Cosori TurboBlaze 6-Quart Air Fryer again? Absolutely. It’s faster than our convection oven for many of the things I cook, it cooks evenly, doesn’t unnecessarily heat up the RV and, most importantly, it has stood up to the amount of use I actually give an air fryer.
Sometimes the RV gear we love isn’t RV-specific at all. It’s simply something that makes everyday life on the road easier—and this little workhorse definitely does that.
